So here are our little tips for the maintenance of your electric scooter:
Knowing that a good maintenance way of electric motorcycle and electric tricycle is through its cleanliness, while cleaning we can notice small things that we do not pay attention to in usual. Because if we examine our motorcycle and tricycle we have our eyes on it so we will see that the pads begin to be worn, screws are getting lose, scratches on the tires, the tires lose pressure too, it is advisable to check them every month ideally or maximum every three months!
battery is also need to be maintained, in order to utilize it as long as possible.
lithium battery capacity starts to decaying when it is discharged to less than 20%, so we advise you to try to maintain a certain level of battery charge. That is, the more the battery is charged, the less tired it is!
In addition, the battery charge must not exceed 24 hours, although it is regulated by the transformer it is strongly discouraged to leave a battery charging for so long as a safety measure.
Here are some tips about maintaining a healthy status for batteries, it is applicable for both lithium and lead-acid batteries:
1. Start your electric motorcycle slowly. I know many of motor riders like to enjoy the power of speed, but you need to know while speed up your electric motorcycle the current in circuit is huge, the faster you speed up, the stronger the current. And strong current circulating in your batteries surly causes damage to it.
2. Use matched charger for your batteries. You are not just need attention for the voltage marked on charger, the current the charger is outputting is also important, too big or too small, it all will feel uncomfortable. The limit for lithium battery is 1C current, 20A maximum for 20AH batteries. And the limit for lead-acid battery is 0.15C. 3A for 20AH batteries.
3. Don’t leave your batteries alone for too long. The current is discharging no matter you use it or not. You should charge it at least once per month.
